Hey Folks,
Sorry to miss a post yesterday, I'm working morning shift this week so my sleeping patterns are all screwed up, and I haven't had much time do anything besides sleep, eat and work :P. Anyways, just a quick 5 day tonight, no review, and maybe just a quick discussion.
Your 5 day forecast for London, KY:
Wednesday: Chance of Snow showers after noon, otherwise mostly cloudy with a high of 42 which will happen early in the morning. Temperatures will fall throughout the day.
Thursday: Partly Sunny with a low of 18, and a high of 38.
Friday: Looking a little tricky at this point. I'm thinking a low 33 with a high 42. We have a low pressure system that will be working through the upper Ohio Valley on Friday, but will not be packing a ton of moisture this far south. My current thoughts are we'll start out Mostly cloudy, have a brief period of rain transition over to snow late in the afternoon.
Saturday: Partly Sunny with a high of 48 and a low of 29.
Sunday: Low of 38 in the morning, followed by a high of 57. Rain Showers are likely.
MIDNIGHT UPDATE:
Looks like we're going to have to crank those temps up about 10 degrees for the high for Today. Temp's have not dropped off at all over the night.

End of 2008, Pretty Tame
The title says it all, 2008 is going out with a whimper.
Your 5day Forecast for London KY:
Monday: Looking nicer than I thought yesterday, where going Partly Sunny with a high of 55 and low of 33.
Tuesday: The nice weather continues with partly sunny skies and high of 58, and a low of 31.
Wednesday: Your new years eve has a slight chance for rain and or snow showers. Otherwise it will be Mostly cloudy with a high of 40 and a low 30.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high of 41 and a low of 21.
Friday: Rain changing to snow seems to be in the cards for now, but as always models 5 days out are as about as accurate as throwing a dart at the dart board. High of 40, low of 28.
Forecast Review from yesterday:
Forecast: 39/62
WKYT: 42/45
WYMT: 36/55
WLEX: 44/48
WTVQ: 44/48
NWS: 45/49
Accuweather: 44/52
TWC:30/54
Actual: 32/65
UPDATED ACTUAL LOW 1:45 PM Dec 29. 0uch my low busted hard :(.
Actual low as of 10:18, so it may drop a few degrees. Overall happy with the forecast but really shocked as how much my Monday cast has changed. I don't know if I was looking at the Raw 2m Temps wrong yesterday or what, but a 10 degree jump in a forecast is a bit disturbing.
Forecast Discussion:
Things look pretty straight forward in the short term. Zonal flow of the Jet Stream takes over the first half of the week and things stay pretty calm, and above seasonal averages for temps. A Clipper looks to move through the day after Christmas day. Things are looking pretty active as we move into the first of the year. Some blocking looks to set up over Greenland, which could mean the possibility for some decent snows in our future. No graphics tonight, but hopefully some coming back in the future. Until next time.
